Given the name, lots of things must be more fun than this toy. But it’s not hard to imagine how the phrase “more fun than a barrel of monkeys” became the standard measure for levels of enjoyment.
It’s a good thing they don’t make toys based on every cliché though. I doubt a bag of little plastic slices of bread would be any fun, much less the greatest thing since itself.
